LFC – The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. Gameweek 37
Defender makes a bold claim that the clubs pull is still the same. Despite being below par the Reds blushes are spared by a departing star. Forget about Freddy Krueger and the rest just look at this forward chest. The good the bad and the ugly and Liverpool FC for gameweek 37
The Good
In a week of not many positives, I’m going to go for Virgil van Dijk’s claims that Liverpool are still a big draw for new players. The echo leads with the headline quoting Virgil van Dijk “The noises I’m hearing” – Virgil van Dijk makes bold Liverpool transfer claim.
If you read the article actually he doesn’t is not talking about transfers he just says “The noise I’m hearing…”, but he doesn’t day ‘The noises I’m hearing… we’re going to get X Y&Z player…!” This is not actually what he says, it’s kind of Paul Gorst’s sensationalising a simple statement with “click-bait”. What van Dijk actually says: “The noises I’m hearing, it’s going to be a very intense preseason with a lot of physical work but also a lot of tactical work trying to get ready for a tough season that’s very exciting players are leaving hopefully players coming in and will be ready for the start of pre season…”
The Bad
This I have to say is Liverpool’s performance against Aston Villa. OK, it wasn’t that bad but drawing 1-1 in the last home game of the season against Aston Villa was, in my opinion, two points last as opposed to 1 gained.
The Mail Online headline: Liverpool 1-1 Aston Villa: Roberto Firmino Nets a fairy tale late equaliser in his final Reds match at Anfield to keep Jurgen klopp’s top four hopes alive after Jacob Ramsey gave visitors the lead.
Pretty much says it all!
The (Pretty) Ugly
This has got to be the state of Cody gakpo’s chest after Tyrone mings challenge in the first half of Saturday’s game. The late Bruce Lee would have been very proud of such a kick.
Just a quick mention about the Vinicius Junior situation in Spain. Despicable behaviour. And then Valencia are fined the princely sum of €45,000. Adding insult to injury doesn’t come close!
