Liverpool FC: The Good, The Bad & The Ugly Weekly Update

The Reds get an early deal done, and rumour has it that there’s more to come. It’s unthinkable, isn’t it? The club’s record signing could be a transfer target. And despite what’s written in the press, new signings mooted are only a guess. The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. Another week reviewed at Liverpool Football Club.

The Good

This of course has to be the arrival of Argentinian international Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton and Hove Albion for a reported £35 million.

This of course is by no means breaking news as you’d have to had been under a stone for the last week not to have heard this. In any case I’m simply reviewing the week, and not claiming to be breaking news by any stretch.

Following the 24 year olds transfer rumours of further incomings abound which will come onto later.

The Bad

For me this has to be the assertion from former Liverpool legend and God, Robbie Fowler that Mohamed Salah could be a target for top clubs this season.

An unthinkable outcome for many Red Reds fans. Should that happen, the 29-year-old Egyptian who actually turns. 31. On the 15th of June This week, in fact, Would be a huge loss for the club. So as you can see from the mirrors headline here: Robbie Fowler predicts Liverpool will face Mohamed Salah transfer demands this summer.

Robbie isn’t suggesting, of course, that Salah is subject to any bid or that the club should sell him. However, in my view I actually agree with what the former club legend is saying.

So let’s hope that Robbie’s fears don’t come to fruition. Moving very swiftly on that brings us to this week’s:

The Ugly

Now, this isn’t actually what you would call ugly. However, this is actually something good which is tackling something which is becoming quite ugly in the game.

This is of course the wages that are being paid to the players because frankly, they are spiralling out of control. And the problem is of course, that you have the likes of Man City who are just dominating the Premiership simply because they’re being steamrolled by wealthy owners.

Hallelujah! At last, there’s a possibility that we’re going to see some sanity bought into the beautiful game. Some would, of course, argue that the beautiful game is becoming more ugly year after year. As money popes in from all directions.

The headline of course continues with the subheading limit would be linked to bottom clubs TV income as a safety measure. And of course for me this can’t come soon enough ‘cause things really are getting out of control now.

And before we wrap up let’s have a quick look at the latest transfer news.

So here. I’ve got a tweet from Fabrizio Romano, the transfer knowledge King by all accounts. He’s mentioning here as we can see the tweet. That Liverpool and of course, Jürgen Klopp are looking for two more midfielders.

The two names that are being mentioned most are, Lillian Thursm‘s son Kephran, From French side Olympic Lyonais. And of course, München Gladbach’s Manu Kone, although the latter apparently Is becoming more and more unlikely.

There’s clearly many more twists and turns that are coming. And let’s not forget of course, that the transfer season doesn’t officially open, I believe until the 15th of June. So we may be surprised yet.
