Liverpool FC: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly – EPL Gameweek #6
No stammer against the hammers, but another first goal is given away at LASK. At least the boss wants to stay. A defender’s red card makes life in FPL so very hard. The Good, The Bad and, The Ugly. Gameweek 6 reviewed at Liverpool Football Club.
The Good
The win over West Ham at Anfield yesterday. The Reds overcame a resolute Hammers side to take all three points in Gameweek six in this seasons Premier League.
It’s still early doors but one senses that Liverpool 2.0 could in fact turn out to be a good upgrade on the last version. Goals from Mo Salah (pen.), Darwin Núñez and Diogo Jota were enough to make the points safe, after Jarrod Bowen had equalised for the visitors.
The Bad
Conceding another opening goal in a game. This time it was to Europa League opponents LASK on Thursday evening.
Jürgen Klopp’s men eventually ran out comfortable 1-3 winners, but nonetheless, this was the fourth time in the last six games that the team had given their opposition an early advantage.
The Smugly
This week’s Ugly, is actually Smugly. News broke during the week that Jürgen Klopp was approached by the German Football Association (DFB) to fill the vacant manager’s job, following the sacking of Hansi Flick a couple of weeks ago.
However, Klopp 56, told his home FA, he is committed to the Reds, at least until his present contract ends in 2026. This, by my reckoning at least, is a huge boost for all LFC fans and everyone at the club.
Liverpool 2.0 is now well and truly installed and beginning to show signs of being a significant upgrade in the previous software which, although ahead its time during its prime, was proving to be a tad too “buggy” in recent times.
