The Good, The Bad & The Ugly – 2024/25 Gameweek 3

The Reds pull off a signing coup and Boys win against Manyoo. If you don’t do what you asked to do. There’s nothing down for you.

The Good

The 0-3 win against Manchester United this afternoon. A brace for Luis Diaz, both assisted by Mo Salah who himself got on the scoresheet, wrapped up a comfortable win for Liverpool.

United were all at see as the Reds dominance in the press and sheer hunger, swept their hosts aside. In fairness it could and should have been more for Arne Slot’s machine. That said, the hosts were thwarted by some world class goalkeeping heroics between the stick from Alisson.

The (Not) Bad

Liverpool have agreed a deal with Juventus for left winger Federico Chiesa. The fee is reported to be in the region of around £12.5m.

The 26 year-old had entered into the final year of his contract with the famous club from Turin, and they decided to cash in on him now rather than lose him in a year on a free transfer.

The move had caught the fans by surprise as it was looking like Liverpool would not be able to bring in a fresh face having failed with a bid for Real Sociedad midfielder Zubimendi.

The Guardian

The (Sm)Ugly

Trent Alexander-Arnold opens up about life under Arne Slot by acknowledging the defensive improvements the Dutchman has insisted on.

The local lad who turns 16 in October, confirmed that those not following the new head Coach’s rules, simply won’t play!
