The Good, The Bad & The Ugly – 2024/25 Gameweek #11

Second half cruisin’ against Leverkusen. No need for a thriller against the Villa, and an ex-player is the mood slayer. In the FPL race, have I kept to the pace?

The Good

The Good this week, is without doubt the four-goal victory against Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League this week at Anfield.

After a cagey first half the Reds took the game by the scruff of the neck in the second. In one of the best European nights one is likely to see at Anfield, the hosts demonstrated why there is a much-held belief that the quality in the Premier League is superior to that of the Bundesliga.

A Hat-Trick from Lucho Diaz and a Cody Gakpo effort was enough to put the tie beyond the visitors and ruin club legend Xabi Alonso’s return to his old stomping ground.
