The Good, The Bad & The Ugly – 2024/25 Gameweek #15
A 1-0 win is never sin and when the Reds draw it’s never a bore. Was it a clear red? There’s always something to be said. In FPL, there’s good news to tell.
The Good
Liverpool making it six wins out of six in the Champions League group stage. Mo Salah was on target from the penalty spot to give Liverpool an historic result.
This was a hard fought game
The (Not) Bad
The draw against Fulham on Saturday. Definitely not the best of results but considering the opposition and the quality of officiating on show, Liverpool done well to get a result.
Andy Robertson was shown a straight red card early on for a clumsy challenge on former Red youngster Harry Wilson.
Liverpool equalised through Cody Gakpo before falling behind again. Cue a late equaliser from returning striker Diogo Jota, to spare Liverpools blushes.
The Ugly
Surprised by Gary Lineker‘s take on the Andy Robertson red card in MoTD over the weekend.
The former Spurs and England International turned pundit expressed his surprise at Andy Robertson‘s dismissal during the game against Fulham at Anfield on the BBC Saturday evening show.
Lineker the decision was poor and expressed his surprise that Liverpool did not seem to lodge a formal complaint. That said in my personal opinion it was a clear red and therefore I can understand the headline, that also expresses surprise at the expert’s take on events.
