The Good, The Bad & The Ugly – 2024/25 Gameweeks #22

Top of the hill with victory over Lille. And very little noise from the Tractor Boys and what is all this about Curtis?

The Good

Easing past Ipswich in the Premier League fixture on Saturday. Goals from Dominic Szoboszlai, Mo Salah and a brace from in-form Cody Gakpo saw Liverpool cruise to a 4-1 victory.

Alisson Becker was called into action late on as the clock ticked down, saving low to his right, before the Reds conceded a late cancellation to the Tractor Boys.

The (Not) Bad

Winning against Lille in the penultimate game of the Champions League group phase under the new format.

The French outfit were unbeaten in their last 21 games before being the latest Champions League side to be dismantled at Anfield.

A 50th UCL goal for Mo Salah before a deflected effort from Harvey Elliott. Elliott was enough to see the Reds overturn a Lille equaliser.

The Ugly

The furore over Curtis Jones’s comments about Eden Hazard being his favourite footballer even compared to Mo Salah.

Nonsense reaction from idiots on social media.
