Fulham FC v Liverpool FC – Match Preview

Liverpool shrugged off any cobwebs after the the International break to beat Everton and now move on to Sunday’s game against Fulham.

The game at Craven Cottage will no doubt prove difficult, even though Fulham recently suffered a home defeat to Crystal Palace in the FA Cup and a loss at Arsenal in the premier league.

Fulham are a well organised outfit and normally play well against the top sides.

Liverpool will need to be patient, as they were against Everton, and hope their extra quality in forward areas will prove to be the difference after 90 mins.

Fulham, with Raul Jimenez expected to lead the line, will look to stay in the game, counter and take any chances that come their way.

Andreas Perreira and Alex Iwobi have quality on the ball so the Liverpool midfield will need to be wary of their threat.

Joachim Anderson is also a threat at corner kicks and set pieces and Ibrahim Konate and Virgil Van Dijk will need to be pillars of strength at the back for the Reds’.

Allison Becker and Cody Gakpo are pushing for returns after not starting in midweek.

Predicted line up :

Allison, Jones, Konate, V Dijk, Robertson, Gravenberch, Macallister, Szoboszlai, Jota, Salah, Gakpo.
